A vacuum is not a shampoo
An interior vacuum, included in our Silver and Platinum wash packages, lifts loose debris from carpets, mats and seats and is the right level of service for regular upkeep.
A shampoo is a different process. It works cleaning solution into carpet and upholstery fibres to lift material that has bonded to them — salt residue, spills, ground-in dirt. It also takes considerably longer, which is why it is offered as a detailing service rather than part of a standard wash.
What our Interior Shampoo covers
Interior Shampoo takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours and includes a full-service wash, seats shampooed and dressed as appropriate for cloth, vinyl or leather, carpets and mats shampooed, door panels cleaned, and the trunk cleaned.
Signs your interior needs more than a vacuum
A few practical indicators that a shampoo is the right call:
- White salt lines that reappear on carpets after vacuuming
- Stains that have dried into cloth seats or floor mats
- Odours that persist after airing the vehicle out
- Visible soiling on door panels and around cup holders
- Preparing a vehicle for sale or handing it to a new driver
Where standard washes stop
Our standard hand washes are designed to clean visible surfaces and restore your vehicle’s shine. They do not include detailed cleaning of every small crevice or hidden area. When you want that level of work, our detailing services are the right path.
Detailing takes several hours, so call (312) 341-0200 to check availability before you come in.
